Thoughts on Visiting Home for the Summer Break

In August, I went home for the summer holidays to spend time with family and friends. It was great to be back home after being away for so long and missing a lot of people. I was glad to have spent my birthday with the people dear to me, to see my beloved youngest sister (and how much she’d grown while I was away), to eat food that I missed, to catch up on everyone back home, and to do things I enjoyed doing in Manila. Why I Wear A Rosary Scapular

Since last year, I have been wearing a Miraculous Medal and rosary scapular – Catholic devotional items – around my neck. One day, a friend asked me why I wore those, and I thought I would share my story here. I definitely am not wearing them as a fashion statement or as a way of showing off my religion. This isn’t a preachy or overly religious story, so I suppose that even if you’re of a different religion, atheist, or agnostic, maybe you might find this story worth reading anyway. Continue reading
